A burger menu with orders that arrive ready on WhatsApp.

A menu for burger restaurants that sell through WhatsApp: customers put their order together in a few taps, and the store gets it neatly organized, with no app and no commission.

Burger restaurant (demo) — Digital menu

The context

Many burger restaurants take orders over WhatsApp, but the conversation tends to drag on: customers ask for the menu, check prices one by one, and the address often comes in incomplete. Delivery apps solve this, but they take a cut of every order.

I built this demo project to show burger restaurants what it looks like to have their own ordering channel, with their brand and no middleman.

The solution

A menu that takes customers from picking a burger to a ready-to-send WhatsApp order in a few taps, with no sign-up.

  • Menu with filters and a one-tap combo option
  • Cart that stays saved and suggests sides
  • Short form that writes the order message to the store's WhatsApp
  • Address, opening hours, contact options and a street view of the storefront
  • Color and font themes to match each restaurant's brand

Stack

Built with Next.js, React and TypeScript. Orders are sent through WhatsApp, and the Google Maps view only loads when the visitor allows it.

What was delivered

  • WhatsApp ordering
  • One-tap combos
  • Saved cart
  • Color themes
